Yesterday it was all about the road ahead for the Minimal Footprint Hedonists in 2012. We were collecting the directions we would love to explore more next year. While sketching some it seemed as we all were “instinctively” looking for the connecting element that would bind together all these possible paths.
What emerged next goes by the name of “Social Cloud Generator”: a mobile docking station (think it ”tesla coil style” at least!) that will trigger social interaction by producing energy together in a fun way.
We plan to realize the “Social Cloud Generator” until spring ´12 to be prepared for the Berlin outdoor season. It will include a transformer, several input/ output plugging options and a physical visualization of the actual energy output. This unit will then function as the connector for all kinds of energy production like the “Energy Bike” we prototyped before. We imagine the “Social Cloud Generator” to be used to power outdoor film screenings, light graffiti or disco but also want to explore the potential of generating energy with it at a children´s playground or use it in an educational context.
But first we might need some education ourselves: we need some helping hand regarding the circuitry of the whole thing so if you have some experience in that field feel free to drop us a line and join us next year.
