This time we used an old car alternator and a donated bike stand.
We removed the magnetic brake, connected both with a fan belt and attached this construct to a 9V sewing machine that looked a little “overcharged”…
We had our first visitor yesterday! An experienced tinkerer himself he gave us strong support. Thank you very much!
Next steps: Prototype 3 will probably be the final result at the current experimentation stage. We´ll rebuild the stand with old bike parts. Fix the fan belt so it stays in place under full load and make everything as robust as possible.
From there we´ll have to decide what to do next.
